SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Neighborhood

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed about the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The provider issue created for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra assets to allow the servicing of all customers and maximize entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
